Preparing lunch by students is broadcast on NHK WORLD-JAPAN／国際センター お知らせ・近況 - 一貫教育の【自由学園】／ 幼稚園・小学校・中学・高校・大学部・45歳以上

NHK WORLD-JAPAN, a web broadcasting station for overseas, presents a 15 minutes programme on Food Education at the Girls’ Department on 18^th of September.

Since the foundation of the school in 1921, students have been preparing daily lunch taking turns by each class.  This time they took the film on one ordinary day, when twenty girls who are in the 2^nd year senior high prepared lunch for 280 people.

The title of the programme is ‘Through the Kitchen Window: Jiyu Gakuen – Salmon Chirashi Zushi’

It is for 15 minutes in English while the interviews are in Japanese with English subtitles.

The programme can be watched on demand for a year after 19^th of September .
